If you check your stats in-game though, there are numbers in there for production and consumption of each resource. Early game for example you probably need as many dwellers in the rooms as possible, but late game you can get away with minimal staffing and be fine. Play around with it and see if you're good with less dwellers in rooms. Six S1 dwellers in a power room for example will have the exact same room timer as one S6 dweller. Furthermore, the only thing that matters for how long the timer is in a resource room is how much of the relevant stat is in the room. There is no real metric in-game for whether a room is being run efficiently or not, rooms just have the timers they do and that's either enough for you or it isn't.
